Reading Your Trees

Do you have a green thumb? Lots of our readers love spending time either in their garden or focusing on their landscaping. One of the questions we get a lot is how do you prune trees. There are lots of different tree service companies that would easily be able to come out to help you. They are able to help with tree removal services. However, we love to encourage you to do it yourself if you are able. It often times helps to save you lots of time and money.

Every year we have found that it is helpful to walk your property looking for trees that need to be pruned. When do trees need to be pruned?

  1. Sometimes trees end up growing to close to each other. They get crowded at the top or on the sides and it keeps them from moving towards their maximum potential.
  2. Sometimes you will notice certain parts of the tree is dying.
  3. Sometimes you will recognize that your tree has an unusual disease in it.
  4. Sometimes it is simply healthy to cut back to allow it to grow in different directions

We have found that as you do your annual check up, if you able to focus on these small details, pruning your trees is easy and it saves you time and money in the long run. If you would like more information, then check out our YouTube channel.
